PODIATRISTS ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to the remuneration of Professional Standards Committee members)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Podiatrists Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Podiatrists Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting after clause

16 the following clause:

Remuneration of Professional Standards Committee members

16A. For the purposes of section 21 (7) of the Act, a member of a Professional Standards Committee is entitled to be paid such remuneration as the Minister may from time to time determine.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Podiatrists Regulation 1990 to provide for the determination of the remuneration of persons who sit as members of Professional Standards Committees to determine complaints and disciplinary proceedings against podiatrists.

This Regulation is made under section 21 (7) of the Podiatrists Act 1989 (as

amended by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 3) 1992).
