Building Act 1993

Plumbing (Fees) Regulations 2006

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Plumbing Regulations 1998 to increase the fees payable under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 221ZZZV of the Building Act 1993.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2006.

4.New regulation 32 substituted

For regulation 32 of the Plumbing Regulations 1998[1] substitute—

"32.Fees and other amounts

(1)The following fees must be paid—

(a)   for an application to be licensed or registered under section 221M, 221O, 221P, 221Q or 221R of the Act	$55.00
(b)   for an application to be licensed under section 221N of the Act	$22.40
(c) for a licence under section 221M of the Act or a renewal of a licence (that is not endorsed) under section 221ZB of the Act	$221.00
(d)   for an endorsement under section 221N of the Act	$22.40
(e)   for a renewal of an endorsed licence under section 221ZB of the Act	$221.00 plus $22.40 for each endorsement on the licence
(f) for registration under section 221O of the Act or a renewal of registration under section 221ZB of the Act	$249.00
(g) for provisional registration under section 221P of the Act or a renewal of provisional registration under section 221ZB of the Act	$83.00
(h) for a restricted licence under section 221Q of the Act or a renewal of a restricted licence under section 221ZB of the Act	$221.00
(i) for restricted registration under section 221R of the Act or a renewal of restricted registration under section 221ZB of the Act	$249.00
(j)    for a temporary licence under section 221W of the Act	$55.00
(k)   for temporary registration under section 221W of the Act	$22.40
(l)    for a late renewal under section 221ZE of the Act	$55.00
(m)  for a duplicate licence or certificate of registration under section 221Y of the Act	$22.40
(n)   for an application to modify the plumbing regulations under section 221ZZO of the Act	$83.00
(o)   for an application for a practical examination conducted by, or on behalf of, the Commission	$120.90
(p)   for an application for a theory examination conducted by, or on behalf of, the Commission	$44.00

(2)For the purposes of section 221ZN(5) of the Act, the maximum amount for the sale of a compliance certificate form is $22.45.".
