Act No. 55, 1982.

An Act to amend the definition of “gasfitting work” in section 4 (1) of the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainers Act, 1979, so as to exclude from the operation of that Act all work relating to natural gas equipment. [Assented to, 12th May, 1982.]

Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainers (Dangerous Goods) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.          This Act may be cited as the “Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainers

(Dangerous Goods) Amendment Act, 1982’’,

Commencement.

2.     (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date of assent

to this Act.

(2) Except as provided in subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified pursuant to section 2 (2) of the Dangerous Goods (Amendment) Act, 1982.

Amendment of Act No. 44, 1979,

3. The Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainers Act, 1979, is amended by

inserting in the definition of “gasfitting work” in section 4 ( 1 ) after the words

“liquefied petroleum gas” the words “or natural gas”.
