2 Plant Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2006 No. 179, 2006 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Plant Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2006 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Plant Protection Regulation 2002. 3 Insertion of new pt 2A After section 6— insert— ‘Part 2A Authorised persons ‘6A Declared class for appointment—Act, s 6D ‘For section 6D(2)(a)(ii) of the Act, the class of individual declared to be an approved class is an individual employed by— (a) BSES Ltd ACN 103 760 005; or (b) Queensland Cane Growers Organisation Ltd ACN 089 992 969; or (c) Isis Productivity Ltd ACN 108 518 216; or (d) a mill owner under the Sugar Industry Act 1999 ; or (e) an entity engaged in sugarcane production in Queensland; or (f) an entity whose objects include improving sugar industry production.’. 4 Replacement of s 108 (Objects of quarantine) Section 108— omit, insert— ‘108 Objects of quarantine ‘The objects of the quarantine are as follows—

s4 3 s4 Plant Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2006 No. 179, 2006 (a) to prevent the introduction into Queensland of sugarcane smut; (b) to prevent sugarcane smut, or sugarcane plants infested with sugarcane smut, from being taken out of Queensland; (c) to prevent or control the spread of sugarcane smut in Queensland; (d) to control or remove the infestation in Queensland of sugarcane smut in sugarcane plants; (e) to restrict the introduction into Queensland, and the use and sale in Queensland, of appliances that may spread sugarcane smut; (f) to prevent appliances mentioned in paragraph (e) from being taken out of Queensland.’.
