s1 2 s4 Plant Protection Amendment (No. 1) No. 137, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Plant Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Plant Protection Regulation 1990 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 3C 3. After part 3B— insert— ‘ PART 3C—FIREBLIGHT ˙ ‘ Fireblight—control over introduction of pest ‘ 18G.(1) The introduction into Queensland of a plant in schedule 6 from a State in which fireblight has been detected by the relevant department is prohibited. ‘ (2) Subsection (1) does not apply if a plant is accompanied by a certificate that states the plant was grown, packed and stored in a fireblight free area. ‘ (3) The certificate must be made by the grower or packer of the plant. ‘ (4) In this section— “fireblight free area” means an area of another State that has been certified as free of fireblight by the relevant department. “relevant department” of a State means the department that deals with matters relating to agriculture in the State.’. ˙ Insertion of new sch 6 4.
