2 Plant Protection Amendment (No. 1) No. 32, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Plant Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Plant Protection Regulation 1990 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Insertion of new s.30 3. After section 29— insert— ˙ ‘Pest quarantine areas ‘30. Land within an area specified in Schedule 5 is a pest quarantine area with respect to the pest specified in relation to the land. ’. ˙ Insertion of new Schedule 5 4. After Schedule 4— insert— ‘SCHEDULE 5 ‘PEST QUARANTINE AREAS section 30 ‘Pest quarantine area with respect to Palm leaf beetle ( Brontispa longissima ) ‘1. Land within— (a) the City of Cairns; and

3 Plant Protection Amendment (No. 1) No. 32, 1993 (b) the Shires of Aurukun, Cook, Douglas and Torres; and (c) Division 4 of the Shire of Mulgrave; and (d) the areas administered by the following Aboriginal Councils— (i) Bamaga; (ii) Hopevale; (iii) Injinoo; (iv) Lockhart River; (v) Napranum; (vi) New Mapoon; (vii) Seisia; (viii)Umagico; (ix) Wudjel Wudjel. ‘2. Land excluded from the area of an existing local authority by order in council under clause 43 of the Agreement set out in the Schedule to the CommonwealthAluminiumCorporationPty.LimitedAgreementAct1957 . 1 ’.
