Plant Diseases Amendment Regulations (No. 2)

Made by the deputy of the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations may be cited as the Plant Diseases
Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2001.2. The regulations amended
The amendments in these regulations are to the Plant Diseases

3. Regulation 17F amended
(1) Regulation 17F(1) and (2) are repealed and the following
subregulations are inserted instead —44
(1) In this regulation —
"Ord River Irrigation Area" means that portion ofthe State that is north of latitude 17°S and east of
longitude 127°E.
(2) A person who takes citrus fruit or stone fruit into the
Ord River Irrigation Area from another part of the State
during the period beginning on 1 June and ending on
30 November in any year unless the fruit is certified —
(a)
as being from a part of the State that is free from Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata); or
(b)
as having been disinfested in an approved manner,
commits an offence.
Penalty: $5 000.

(2) Regulation 17F(3)(a) is amended by deleting "Kimberley Area"
and inserting instead —
" Ord River Irrigation Area ".4. Schedule 1 amended
(1) Schedule 1, Part B, item 4B is amended as follows:
(a) in paragraph (a)(i) by deleting "15 seconds;" and inserting instead 44
10 seconds, after the fruit has been completely
wetted; 9,.

(b) in paragraph (b)(i) by deleting "1.2mg/Lm2 per minute for at least 15 seconds;" and inserting instead 44
0.6mg/Lm2 per minute for at least 10 seconds, after
the fruit has been completely wetted;
(2) Schedule 1, Part B, item 31 is amended after "fruit" by
inserting —
" (other than banana fruit) ".5. Schedule 8 amended
Schedule 8, item 15A is amended by deleting "Kimberley Area" and inserting instead —
" Ord River Irrigation Area ".
