Plant Diseases Amendment Regulations

2000

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Plant Diseases
Amendment Regulations 2000.

2.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Plant Diseases
Regulations 1989*.

3.            Regulation 6 amended

(1) Regulation 6(1) is amended by deleting "subregulation (6)" and

inserting instead -

subregulations (6) and (8) ".

(2)	Regulation 6(3)6)	is deleted.
(3)	Regulation 6(6)	is amended by deleting "This regulation" and

inserting instead -

" Subregulation (1) ".

(4) After regulation 6(7) the following subregulation is inserted -

(8) Subregulation (1) does not apply in relation to a
potential carrier that is brought into the State by post if,
as soon as is practicable after its entry into the State,
the potential carrier is presented for inspection by an
inspector at -

(a)	the Australia Post Depot, Pilbara St, Welshpool; or
(b)	the offices of Agriculture Western Australia,
Baron-Hay Court, South Perth. ,,

4.            Heading to Part 4 Division 2 Subdivision 5 deleted

The heading to Part 4 Division 2 Subdivision 5 is deleted.

5.            Schedule 1 amended

(1) Schedule 1 Part A is amended in the item relating to Lupin -

(a)	in columns 2 and 3, by deleting "1"; and
(b)	in column 4, by deleting ", 52".

(2) Schedule 1 Part A is amended by deleting the item relating to

Chickpea.

(3) Schedule 1 Part A is amended in the item relating to Seed by
deleting -

Chickpea,

(4) Schedule 1 Part AA is amended as follows -

(a) by deleting the item relating to Potato machinery, equipment and containers (used) and inserting the following items instead -

(b) by inserting after "Vegetable containers (used)" —

" other than potato containers ".

(5) Schedule 1 Part B is amended as follows:

(a)	in item 1(1) by deleting the entry beginning "Lupin: Plants";
(b)

in the heading to item 6 by deleting ", equipment and " or equipment ";

(c) after item 6 by inserting the following item —

6A.	Potato containers (used)
Entry into the State is prohibited except with the prior approval of the Director General.
(d)	by deleting items 51 and 54.

6.            Schedule 7 amended

Schedule 7 is amended by deleting "Anthracnose
(Colletotrichum gloeosporioides)".
