PLANT DISEASES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1996

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Plant Diseases Amendment

Regulations 1996.

Schedule 1 amended

2. (1) Schedule 1 to the Plant Diseases Regulations 1989* is amended by

repealing Part A and substituting the following Part -

(a) by deleting item 26; and

fly (Bemisia tabaci Strain 5) The entry other than seeds,

underground parts an dried or rocessed plant Of any $lant, matenal of species of the famiEes Agauaceae, Amaryllidaceae, Arecaceae, Bromeliaceae, C athaceae,

Marantaceae, Orchidaceae, Sapindaceae, Theaceae, Cyadaceae, Cyperaceae, Iridaceae, t iliaceae,
Conifers and Ferns is prohibited from any area within 500 km of an outbreak of Bemisia tabaci Strain B unless certified as -

own and packed in an area free from Kmis ia tabaci Strain B established by an approved trapping and inspection programme; or

own and packed on a property free from -

K m i s i a tabaci Strain B established by an approved trapping and inspection programme; or

in the case of approved plant material ins ected a t an approved rate and found to or g e free from Bemisia tabaci Strain B;

fumigated with methyl bromide for

2 hours a t one of the following rates -

56 g/m3 a t 5' - 10°C
48 g/m3 a t 11' - 15'C
40 g/m3 a t 16' - 20°C
32 g/m3 a t 21' - 25OC
24 g/m3 a t 26' - 30°C

16 g/m3 a t 31°C and above; or

fumigated with ethylene di-bromide for

2 hours a t one of the following rates -
