PLANT DISEASES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1989
Made by His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator in Execu- tive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Plant Diseases Amendment Regula-tions 1989.
Principal regulations
2. In these regulations the Plant Diseases Amendment Regulations 1989* are
referred to as the principal regulations.(*Published in the Gazette of 30 June 1989 at pp. 1980-1993.)
Schedule 1 amended
3. Schedule 1 to the principal regulations is amended—
(a) in Part A—
(i) as to the entry "Poplar" by deleting "1" in columns 2 and 3 and substituting in each place the following-
36 "; and
(ii) as to the entry "Soybean" by deleting "25" in column 5;
(b) in Part B—
(i) in item 1 by deleting "Poplar: Plants—Marssonina Leaf Spot
(Marssonina brunnea).";
(ii) in item 19 by deleting "To be certified as treated with
2—(thiocyano-methyl-thio) benzothiazole (TCMTB) at the rate of 32 millilitres/100 kilograms of seed." and substituting the following—
To be certified that—
(a) the seed is from an area which is free from Boil Smut; or ()) the seed has been treated with 2—(thiocyano-methyl- thio) benzothiazole (TCMTB) at the rate of 32 millilit- res/100 kilograms of seed. "; and
(iii) by inserting after item 35 the following item-
36. Poplar plants and cuttings—Marssonina Leaf Spot (Marssonina brunnea and Marssonina cczstagnei) White poplar (Populus alba) To be certified as grown in a State of Thrritory where Marssonina brunnea and Marssonina castagnei are not know to occur.

Schedule 5 amended
4. Schedule 5 to the principal regulations is amended—
(a) by deleting "Acroptilon repens . . . Creeping knapweed"; (b) by deleting "Cannabis sativa . Indian hemp" and substituting the following—
Cannabis species. . . Indian hemps ";
(c) by deleting "Dipsacus sylvestris . . . Wild easel"; (d) by deleting "Largosiphon major . . . Largosiphon" and substituting the following—
" Ingosiphon major. Lagosiphon "; and(e) by deleting "Themeda quadrivalis" and substituting the following— " Themeda quadrivalvis ".
