AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Plant Diseases Ordinance 1934-1938.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred \>y the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Scat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1933, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Plant Diseases short title and

Ordinance (No. 2) 1938. cltatio"'

(2.) Sub-section (3.) of section one of the Plant Diseases Ordinance 1938 is repealed.

(3.) The Plant Diseases Ordinance 1934-1936, as amended by the Plant Diseases Ordinance 1938, is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(4.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Plant Diseases Ordinance 1934-1938.

2. Section five of the Principal Ordinance is amended— Definitions.

(a) by inserting before the definition of "Disease" the

following definition:—

" ' Director-General' means the Director-General

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

of Works;"; and

(b) by omitting the definitions of "Minister" and

" Secretary ".
