PLANT DISEASES.
No. 22 of 1966.
AN ACT to amend the Plant Diseases Act, 1914-1965.
[Assented to 17th October, 1966.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Plant aTirctiattlieon

| amended. | 2. Section eight of the principal Act is amended |
| (a) | by substituting for the words, "Twenty pounds" in line four of subsection (4), the words, "Forty dollars"; |
| (b) | by substituting for the words, "one pound" in line five of subsection (4), the words, "two dollars"; and |
| (c) | by substituting for the words, "ten shillings" in line four of subparagraph (iii) of para- graph (b) of subsection (5), the words, "one dollar". |

| (d) | by inserting after the word, "baiting" in line fifteen of subparagraph (i) of para- graph (d), the words, "or spraying"; |
| (e) | by inserting after the word, "bait" in line six of subparagraph (iv) of paragraph (d), the words, "or spray"; |

(2) Where pursuant to subsection (1) of this section a fruit fly foliage baiting scheme is being administered or is to be introduced within a district adjacent to and in the same municipality as another district within which such a scheme is being administered, the Minister, if in the circumstances of the case he considers it expedient to do so, may direct that the scheme in that other district shall extend to the adjacent district and be amalga- mated with the scheme there being administered, or in the absence of any such scheme, be administered within the adjacent district as though it were the scheme required to be introduced therein. .
