AN ACT to amend the Plant Diseases Act, 1914-1954.

[Assented to 3rd October, 1956.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Plant

Diseases Act Amendment Act, 1956.

(2) The Plant Diseases Act, 1914-1954,

Amendments Incorporation Act, 1938, and fur- ther amended by Acts Nos. 25 of 1946, 35 of 1947, 3 and 11 of 1949, 3 of 1950, 45 of 1952, and 57 of 1954,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be referred to as the Plant Diseases Act, 1914-1956.

Section eight of the principal Act is amended— S. 8 am. (b) by repealing subsection (8); and

(c)

by deleting the passage, "or the registra- tion of any orchard is transferred as pro- vided for in this section," in lines one, two, and three, of subsection (9).
