This Act may be cited as the
Planning, Development and Infrastructure (State Planning Policy) (Biodiversity) Amendment Act 2017 .
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.
After section 62 insert:
62A—Biodiversity policy The Minister must ensure that there is a specific state planning policy (to be called the
biodiversity policy ) that specifies policies and principles that are to be applied with respect to enhancing biodiversity and minimising adverse effects of development on biodiversity within the State.
