REGULATIONS UNDER THE PIPELINE AUTHORITY ACT 1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Pipeline Authority Act 1973.

PIPELINE AUTHORITY (REMUNERATION AND ALLOWANCES) REGULATIONS

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pipeline Authority (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations.

Remuneration and annual allowance of Executive Member.

2. In respect of any period of office before 1 January 1974, the rate of remuneration payable to the Executive Member is $26,700 per year and the rate of annual allowance payable to the Executive Member is $1,200.

Remuneration of part-time members.

3. In respect of any period of office before 1 January 1974, the rate of remuneration payable to a member of the Authority other than the Executive member—

(a) in the case of the Chairman—$6,450 per year; and

(b) in the case of a part-time member other than the Chairman who is not an officer of the Australian Public Service—$2,600 per year.

Travelling allowance of members.

4. (1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), where a member of the Authority (other than the Executive Member) is, in the course of performing his duties, necessarily absent overnight from the city in which he normally resides, travelling allowance is payable to him at the rate of $28 per day.

(2) Travelling allowance payable under this regulation is in addition to, and does not include, the cost of conveyance.
