I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Pilotage (Amendment) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 June 1992 as the day on which that Act commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Pilotage (Amendment) Act

1992. That Act:

(a) amends the Pilotage Act 1971 and the Marine Port Charges Act 1989 in
relation to the contracting out of port pilotage services, the fees for pilotage
services and the licensing of pilots; and
(b) consequentially repeals certain sections of the Maritime Services Act 1935
