Pig Slaughter Levy Regulations 2

(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting:

• (a)

  with the advice of the Federal Executive Council; and

• (b)

  after taking into consideration the last recommendation made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy:

  • (i)

    by the Pig Research and Development Corporation with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Pig Slaughter Levy Act 1971; and

  • (ii)

    by the Australian Pork Corporation with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (b) of the Pig Slaughter Levy Act 1971;

make the following Regulations under that Act.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1993.

2.    Amendment

2.1   The Pig Slaughter Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.    Regulation 3 (Prescribed amount for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Act)

3.1   Omit “55 cents”, substitute “70 cents”.

4.    Regulation 4 (Prescribed amount for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (b) of the Act)

4.1   Omit “$1.50”, substitute “$1.60”.
