Pig Slaughter Levy Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and after taking into consideration the recommendation made to the Minister of State for Primary Industry by the Pig Research Council that the amount of 30 cents in respect of each pig slaughtered be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Pig Slaughter Levy Act 1971,being the amount last recommended by the Council to the Minister, hereby make the following Regulations under that Act.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1987.

Prescribed amount for the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Act

2. Regulation 3 of the Pig Slaughter Levy Regulations is amended by omitting “20” and substituting “30”.
