Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Act 1971.

1. Amendment

1.1 The Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2. Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

2.1 Definition of “authorized agent”:

Omit the definition, substitute:

“‘authorised agent’ means a person appointed under regulation 7;”.

3. Regulation 3 (Manner of payment of levy)

3.1 Subregulation 3(1):

After “in a State”, insert “other than Tasmania”.

3.2 Subregulation 3(1):

Omit “of Primary Industry”.

3.3 Subregulation 3 (2):

After “slaughtered at an abattoir in”, insert “Tasmania,”.

3.4 Subregulation 3 (2):

Omit “of Primary Industry”.

4. Regulation 4 (Returns)

4.1 Subparagraph 4 (2) (b) (i):

After “in a State”, insert “other than Tasmania”.

4.2 Subparagraph 4(2) (b) (i):

Omit “of Primary Industry”.

4.3 Subparagraph 4 (2) (b) (ii):

After “abattoir situated in”, insert “Tasmania,”.

4.4 Subparagraph 4 (2) (b) (ii): Omit “of Primary Industry”.

5. Regulation 7 (Authorised agents)

5.1 Subregulation 7(1):

Omit “authorized”, substitute “authorised”.

5.2 Subparagraph 7 (2) (b) (i):

After “in a State”, insert “other than Tasmania”.

5.3 Subparagraph 7 (2) (b) (i):

Omit “of Primary Industry”.

5.4 Subparagraph 7(2) (b) (ii):

After “abattoir in”, insert “Tasmania,”.
