Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Act 1971.

1. Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on 1 January 1991.

2. Amendment

2.1 The Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3. Regulation 3 (Manner of payment of levy)

3.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:

Manner of payment of levy

“3. Payment of levy or other amounts payable to the Commonwealth under the Pig Slaughter Levy Collection Act 1971 in respect of pigs slaughtered at an abattoir in a State or Territory must be made at the office of the Department in Canberra.”.

4. Regulation 4 (Returns)

4.1 Paragraph 4 (2) (b):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

“(b) must be furnished by delivering it at the office of the Department in Canberra.”.

5. Regulation 7 (Authorised agents)

5.1 Paragraph 7 (2) (b):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

“(b) must be lodged at the office of the Department in Canberra.”.
