Qneextsfttxtbr 355 ANNO VICESIMO SEPTIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE ----------------------------------------- No. 46 of 1978 An Act to amend the Picture Theatres and Films Act 1946-1976 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 8TH JUNE, 1978] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Picture Theatres and Films Act Amendment Act 1978. (2) In this Act the Picture Theatres and Films Act 1946-1976 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Picture Theatres and Films Act 1946-1978. 2. Amendment of s. 4 . Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting the definition " Minister " and substituting the following definition:- Minister "-the Minister of the Crown for the time being administering this Act: the term includes any Minister of the Crown who is temporarily performing the duties of the Minister; (b) inserting after the definition " Minister " the following definition " " Permanent Head "-the person who at the material time is the permanent head of the Department of Government responsible, subject to the Minister, for the administration of this Act; "; and (c) omitting the definition " Under Secretary ". 3. Amendment of s. 20 . Section 20 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " Under Secretary " wherever they occur therein and substituting in each case the words " Permanent Head ".
