Regulations 1998

The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the
Physiotherapists Registration Board of Victoria, makes the
following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe
qualifications in physiotherapy granted in New
Zealand as qualifications recognised for the
purpose of registration as a physiotherapist in

Victoria.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 12(2) and 28 of the Physiotherapists Act 1978.

3. Qualification for registration

In Schedule 1 to the Physiotherapists Regulations
19921 immediately before the heading "(f) Hong

Kong" insert—

"(ea) New Zealand

Physiotherapists (Further Qualifications) Regulations 1998

Auckland Institute of	Diploma in Physiotherapy
Technology	obtained on or after 1 January 1990 and before 1 January 1993
Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) obtained on or after 1 January 1991
Auckland Technical	Diploma in Physiotherapy
Institute	obtained on or after 1 January 1973 and before 1 January 1990 and successful completion of the New Zealand State Examination, conducted by the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board, on or after 1 January 1950 and before 1 January 1990
Diploma in Physiotherapy obtained on or after 1 January 1990 and before 1 January 1991
New Zealand School of	Diploma in Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy	obtained on or after 1 January 1946 and before 1 January 1950
Diploma in Physiotherapy obtained on or after 1 January 1950 and before 1 January 1978 and successful completion of the New Zealand State Examination, conducted by the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board, on or after 1 January 1950 and before 1 January 1978
Otago Polytechnic	Diploma in Physiotherapy (Otago) obtained on or after 1 January 1978 and before 1 January 1990 and successful completion of the New Zealand State Examination, conducted by the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board, on or after 1 January 1978 and before 1 January 1990
Diploma in Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists (Further Qualifications) Regulations 1998

(Otago) obtained on or after
1 January 1990 and before

1 January 1993

University of Otago Bachelor of Physiotherapy
obtained on or after 1 January
1993.".
