AN ACT to amend the Physiotherapists Act,

1950-1967.

[Assented to 30th September, 1977.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Physio- Eatr:Itileon.

(2) In this Act the Physiotherapists Act, Appprirt elder

July, 1976.

1950-1967, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Physiotherapists Act, 1950-1977.

This Act shall come into operation on a date

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 6

amended.

3.

Subsection (2) of section 6 of the principal

Act is amended

(a)

by adding after the word "Health" in line three the words "or a legally qualified medical practitioner employed within the Public Health Department of the State nominated by him"; and

(b)

by deleting the words "Senate of the University of Western Australia" in lines eight and nine and substituting the words "Council of The Western Australian Institute of Technology".
