AN ACT to amend the Physiotherapists Act,

1950-1952.

[Assented to 18th November, 1954.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Physio-

therapists Act Amendment Act, 1954.

(2) In this Act the Physiotherapists Act, 1950-

1952,

Act No. 75 of 1950 as amended by Act No. 12 of 1952,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Physiotherapists Act, 1950-1954.

2. Section ten of the principal Act is amended 222

amended.

by

(a)

deleting the words "was bona fide engaged

and" in line two of paragraph (b);

(b)

inserting after the word "physiotherapy" in lines three and four of paragraph (b) the words "and was resident";

(c)

deleting the word "for" in line four of para- graph (b);

(d)

deleting the words "least twenty-four months during the period of three years immediately preceding" in lines four, five and six of paragraph (b);

(e)

adding after the word "Act" at the end of paragraph (b) the following words:—"This paragraph shall remain in force until the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four and no longer".
