Photo Card Amendment (Fees and Penalty

Notice Offences) Regulation 2017

Photo Card Act 2005

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Photo Card Act 2005.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Photo Card Regulation 2014:

(a)

to increase (from $93 to $94) the fee for a 10-year Photo Card if the applicant does not hold a driver licence, and

(b)

to increase (from $52 to $53) the fee for a 5-year Photo Card if the applicant does not hold a driver licence, and

(c)

to increase the penalties for offences dealt with by way of a penalty notice issued under the Photo Card Act 2005.

The increases are generally in line with movements in the Consumer Price Index. regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Photo Card Amendment (Fees and Penalty Notice Offences)
Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2017 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

Schedule 1 Amendment of Photo Card Regulation 2014

[1]      Clause 4 Fees for Photo Card

Omit “$93” from clause 4 (a) (iii). Insert instead “$94”.

[2]      Clause 4 (b) (iii)

Omit “$52”. Insert instead “$53”.

Omit the Schedule. Insert instead:
