s1 2 s4 Pharmacy Amendment (No. 1) No. 325, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This by-law may be cited as the Pharmacy Amendment By-law (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ By-law amended 2. This by-law amends the Pharmacy By-law 1985 . ˙ Amendment of s 6 (Meetings of board) 3. Section 6(3)(e)(ii)— omit, insert— ‘(ii) production of statements for accounts kept by the board with a financial institution; and’. ˙ Replacement of s 8 (Funds of the board) 4. Section 8— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Board’s funds ‘ 8.(1) An amount payable to the board must be given to the registrar. ‘ (2) The registrar must— (a) deposit the amount in an account kept by the board in accordance with the StatutoryBodiesFinancialArrangementsAct1982 , section 31; 1 and (b) for each board meeting, prepare a statement of all amounts received, and payments made, by the board during the statement period. ‘ (3) A payment may be made from the account only— (a) by a cheque signed by the registrar and a board member authorised by the board to sign cheques; or 1 Section 31 (General banking powers for day-to-day operations)
s4 3 s4 Pharmacy Amendment (No. 1) No. 325, 1997 (b) in another way authorised by the board. ‘ (4) In this section— “statement period” , for a statement for a board meeting, means the period— (a) starting on the first day of the month in which the previous board meeting was held; and (b) ending on the last day of the month immediately before the month in which the meeting is to be held. ‘ ˙ Honorary treasurer ‘ 8A.(1) The board may appoint 1 of its members as the board’s honorary treasurer. ‘ (2) If an honorary treasurer is appointed, the treasurer must— (a) at each board meeting, present the statement prepared by the registrar under section 8(2)(b); and (b) ensure any payment made from the board’s account is in accordance with section 8(3).’.
