This by-law may be cited as the Pharmacy Amendment By-law 1991 . Amended by-law 2. The Pharmacy By-laws 1985 are amended as set out in this by-law.

2 Pharmacy Amendment By-law 1991 Name of provision units 3.(1) A provision of the Pharmacy By-laws 1985 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a by-law may be called a section. (2) A provision of the Pharmacy By-laws 1985 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a clause may be called a subsection. (3) A reference in the Pharmacy By-laws 1985 to a by-law or clause of the by-laws designated by a number is a reference to a section or subsection of the by-laws designated by that number. Replacement of s.1 (Short Title) 4. Section 1— omit, insert— ‘Short title ‘1. This by-law may be cited as the Pharmacy By-law 1985 . ’. Amendment of s.4 (Fees and Allowances) 5.(1) Section 4— omit ‘ the First Schedule ’ , insert ‘ Schedule 1 ’. (2) Section 4— omit ‘ this Act ’ , insert ‘ the Act ’. (3) Section 4— omit ‘ the said Schedule ’ , insert ‘ that schedule ’. Insertion of new s.4A (Waiver of fees) 6. After section 4— insert —

3 Pharmacy Amendment By-law 1991 ‘Waiver of fees ‘4A.(1) If a person who holds a degree in pharmacy conferred by the University of Queensland applies for registration as a pharmacist and the first period of registration is to start on or after 1 December in any year, the annual licence fee payable for the following year is waived. (2) If a pharmacist applies to the Board within the period starting on 1 January and ending on 30 April in any year for waiver of the annual licence fee, and satisfies the Board that he or she has attained the age of 70 years, the annual licence fee payable for that year is waived. ’.
