Assembly of New Soutli Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

ShorL title.

1 . This Act maybe cited as the “ Pharmacy (Amendment)

Act, 1911,” and shall be construed with the Pharmacy Act, 1897.

Amentlment of

2 . Section eleven of the Pharmacy Act, 1897, is amended—

section 11 of the

Pharm acy Act, 1897-

(a) In paragrapli (g) (i), by omitting the words “ an examina­ tion, called the preliminary examination, before examiners ap|)ointcd under this Act or acknowledged by the board in his knowledge of arithmetic and the English and Latin languages,” and substituting therefor the words “ a pre­ liminary examination as prescribed by regulation under this

by adding the following words at the end of that section :— “ Provided further that the hoard may at its discretion still register a person under subsection (d) if any su(;h per’son applies and tenders the prescribed fee fi)r registration before the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and the hoard is satisfied that he is otherwise qualified under the said subsection, and has failed or omitted to obtain registration before the expiration of the period prescribed as aforesaid only by reason of some accident or inadvei’tencc, or through circumstances beyond his control, and the Minister apjiroves the registration of such person.”
