AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Pharmacy Ordinance 1931-1970.

I THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government

, Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council,

(Administration) Act 1910-1970.

PHARMACY ORDINANCE 1971

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy Ordinance

1971.*

(2.) The Pharmacy Ordinance 1931-1970f is in this Ordinance

referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Pharmacy Ordinance 1931-1971.

2. Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after the definition of " registered veterinary surgeon" the following definition:—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

" ' the Assistant Director ' means the person for the time being occupying, or performing the duties of, the office of Assist­ ant Director, Department of Health, Australian Capital Territory;".

3. Section 7 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

from sub-sections (1.) and (3.) the word "Director" and inserting in

its stead the words " Assistant Director ".
