AN ORDINANCE
To amend the Pharmacy Ordinance 1931.
| BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal | Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Govern- | |

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy short title and
Ordinance 1933.
(2.) The Pharmacy Ordinance 1931 is in this Ordinance
referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,
may be cited as the Pharmacy Ordinance 1931-1933.
2. Section ten of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the
following section inserted in its stead:—
"10. The Governor-General may, if he is satisfied that any Removal from
member has been guilty of misbehaviour or incapacity, remove that member,

3. Section twenty-four of the Principal Ordinance is amended Persons who

6. Section forty-two of the Principal Ordinance is amended— conduct of
(a) by inserting in paragraph (a), after the word pharmacist,

" pharmacist ", the words ", as an assistant or agent
of a registered pharmacist"; and

(&) by adding at the end thereof the following para- • graphs :—
" ; {g) allow his name to be used in connexion with the practice of pharmacy at any premises at which there is not a registered pharmacist in daily attendance; or
(h) aid or assist any person other than a regis-
tered pharmacist to practise pharmacy • except in accordance with the provisions
of this Ordinance.".

Regulations.
8.
Section fifty-four of the Principal Ordinance is amended— (a) by inserting in paragraph (/) , after the word " b e " ,
the word " manufactured,";
(b) by omitting from paragraph (g) the word " a n d " (last
occurring) ; and
(c) by inserting after paragraph (g) the following para-
graph :—
"(ga) the qualifications of apprentices and the conditions under which apprentices may be employed; and ".
