1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Fees) Regulations 1994.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on the day on which the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 1994 comes into operation.

3—Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

the Act means the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982;

section means a section of the Act.

4—Fees

The fees set out in the Schedule are payable as specified in the Schedule.

5—Prescribed amount for assessment of registration fees (section 91)

For the purpose of determining the registration fees payable under section 91 of the Act—

(a)the prescribed amount for the purposes of section 91(1), (2) and (5) is $780;

(b)the prescribed amount for the purposes of section 91(3) and (6) is $3 900.

(a)     an exploration permit (section 20(1)(f))	$3 900
(b)    an exploration permit in respect of a surrendered etc block (section 23(1)(a))	$3 900

9	Annual pipeline licence fee, payable in respect of each kilometre (or part kilometre) of the length of the pipeline at the commencement of each year of the term of the pipeline licence (section 138)	$115

Revocation of regulations

The Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Fees) Regulations 1994 were revoked by Sch 4 cl 1 of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Regulations 2005 on 1.7.2005.
