  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees Amendment Regulations 2006 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on 1 July 2006.

  1. Amendment of Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees Regulations 1994

Schedule 1 amends the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees Regulations 1994.

(2)If a fee is specified in, or calculated in accordance with, these Regulations, the following applies in relation to GST:

(a)if the fee is specified in a current determination of the Treasurer made under subsection 81‑5 (2) of the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 — the fee does not include GST;

(b)if the fee is not specified in a current determination of the Treasurer made under subsection 81‑5 (2) of the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 — the fee includes GST.
