His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Petroleurn (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake, with no changes in substance, the provisions of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees and Securities Regulation 1991. The new Regulation prescribes the amounts of fees for the purposes of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.

This Regulation comprises or relates to matters arising under legislation that is substantially uniform or complementary with legislation of the Commonwealth or another State or Territory.

This Regulation is made under the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982, including section 152 (the general regulation making power) and various other sections referred to in the Regulation.

This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Fees)

Regulation 1996.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 September 1996.

3 Definition

In this Regulation:

the Act means the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.

4 Notes

The explanatory note and table of contents do not form part of this Regulation.

5 Fees

The prescribed fee for the purposes of a provision of the Act specified in Schedule 1 is the fee specified opposite that provision.

6 Repeal

The Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees and Securities
Regulation 1991 is repealed.

Pipeline licence (s. 139) ........................................... $80 for each kilometre,

or part of a kilometre, of the length of the pipeline as at the beginning of

the year concerned

Fees for the release of information

Information contained in a document which is lent to $25 for each day, or part
the person making the request (s. 119 (1 A), (2), (5) of a day, during which
and (5A)) the document is on loan
Information contained in a document which is not $25 for each hour, or
readily available and for which a search has to be part of an hour after the
made (s. 119 (1A), (2), (5) and (5A)) first half hour, taken to
locate the information
Information which is, on the application of the person An amount equal to the
