HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Citation
1. This Regulation may be cited as the Petroleum (Submerged Lands)
Fees and Securities Regulation 1991.
Commencement
2. This Regulation commences on 1st June, 1991.
Definition
3. In this Regulation:
“the Act’’ means the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.
Fees
4. The prescribed. fee for the purposes of a provision of the Act
specified in Schedule 1 is the fee specified opposite that provision.
Securities
5. For the purposes of section 115 (1) (a) of the Act:
1991—No. 246
| (a) | $30,000 is the prescribed amount for a security referred to in Division 2 or 2A of Part 4 of the Act; and |
| (b) | $300,000 is the prescribed amount for a security referred to in |
Division 3 of Part 4 of the Act; and
| (c) | $120,000 is the prescribed amount for a security referred to in Division 4 of Part 4 of the Act. |

SCHEDULE 1—FEES
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the amounts of the fees and securities that must be lodged under the provisions of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982. Formerly, the amounts of such fees and securities were specified in that Act. Consequent on the enactment of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Amendment Act 1991, those amounts are now to be prescribed by regulation. The amounts of the fees and securities are equivalent to those prescribed by the regulations under the corresponding provisions of the Commonwealth Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967 with which the New South Wales Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982 is substantially uniform.
