Petroleum Retail Marketing Sites Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, William patrick deane, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Petroleum Retail Marketing Sites Act 1980.

1.   Commencement

1.1   Regulation 3 is taken to have commenced on 1 January 1998.

1.2   Regulation 4 commences on 1 July 1998.

1.3   The remainder of these Regulations commence on gazettal.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Petroleum Retail Marketing Sites Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Amendment of regulation 4 (Schedule 1 (Specified numbers of retail sites)) of Statutory Rules 1997 No. 355

3.1   Omit the regulation.

4.   Schedule 1 (Specified numbers of retail sites)

4.1   Item 2, column 3:

Omit “102”, substitute “87”.

5.   Application

5.1 Despite subregulation 1.1, the amendment made by regulation 3 is taken not to affect a right of a person (other than the Commonwealth or an authority of the Commonwealth) under section 12 of the Petroleum Retail Marketing Sites Act 1980 during the period commencing on 1 January 1998 and ending immediately before the commencement of this regulation.
