ORDER

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 31A of the Petroleum Products Subsidy Act 1997, do, by this my Order, specify 30 June 2000 as the last day of the period for which that section applies.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order extends. from I January 1999 to 30 June 2000, the period of operation of section 3 I A of the Petroleum Products Subsidy Act 1997. That section provides f o r payment. subject to compliance with certain conditions, of a subsidy in respect of petroleum products even though the purchaser is not registered under the Act (a normal prerequisite for subsidy purposes). The extension of the period of the section's operation will allow more time for consumers of petroleum products to obtain registration under the Act.
