2 Petroleum Amendment No. 123, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Petroleum Amendment Regulation 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The PetroleumRegulation1966 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.69 (Submission of data) 3.(1) Section 69(1)— omit a full report ’, insert an exploration report ’. (2) Section 69(1)(b)— omit corrected record sections ’, insert final corrected record sections ’. (3) Section 69(1)(c)— omit. (4) Section 69(2)— omit shall submit to the Minister ’, insert must submit to the Minister a report containing ’. (5) Section 69(3)— omit, insert— ‘(3) Within 6 months of completion of an aeromagnetic survey, the titleholder must give a report to the Minister. ‘(3A) The report must include— (a) a map or maps showing the location of the individual flight lines; and (b) the corrected total intensity magnetic profiles along the flight lines or a contoured total magnetic intensity map. ’. (6) Section 69(6)— omit, insert
3 Petroleum Amendment No. 123, 1993 ‘(6) Subject to sections 12 and 70, all data given under this section is confidential for a period of 2 years from the date of completion of the field operations. ’. ˙ Replacement of s.70 (Submission of exploration data on relinquishment) 4. Section 70— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Submission of s.69 data on relinquishment ‘70.(1) In this section— “relinquished” includes surrendered or cancelled, but does not include transferred. ‘(2) Within 6 months of the relinquishment of any portion of a petroleum title, the titleholder may give to the Minister a document containing all of the information relating to the relinquished portion previously supplied to the Minister by the titleholder under section 69. ‘(3) A document given under this section is not confidential. ‘(4) If a document is not provided in accordance with subsection (2), section 69(6) does not apply to information provided under section 69 in relation to the petroleum title. ˙ ‘Submission of exploration data on relinquishment ‘70A.(1) In this section— “exploration data” means data derived from field operations on the relinquished area and includes magnetic tapes (if used for seismic surveys), seismograms, record sections, surveyor’s notes and plan table sheets, observer’s tickets and shot hole logs; “relinquished” includes surrendered or cancelled, but does not include transferred. ‘(2) Within 30 days of the relinquishment of any portion of a petroleum title, the titleholder must give to the Minister a document containing— (a) all the titleholder’s exploration data in relation to the relinquished
4 Petroleum Amendment No. 123, 1993 portion that has not been given to the Minister previously; and (b) a list of the data mentioned in paragraph (a). ‘(3) A document given under this section is not confidential. ’. ˙ Amendment of s.126 (Well Completion Report) 5.
