s1 2 s4 Petroleum (Adjustment of Pipeline Charges) No. 136, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This notice may be cited as the Petroleum (Adjustment of Pipeline Charges) Notice 1996 . ˙ Application 2. This section has effect for section 4H of the Actas in force immediately before 1 July 1995. 1 ˙ Way adjustment calculated 3.(1) For the year 1 August 1993 to 31 July 1994, the charges paid per barrel by producers for transporting petroleum by the Moonie pipeline must be increased by an amount worked out using the following formula— increase = total charges — $2.10. total barrels (2) In this section— “producers” does not include the Naccowlah Block producers. “total barrels” means the total number of barrels for which charges were paid by the Naccowlah Block producers in the year for transporting their production by the Moonie pipeline. “total charges” means the total charges paid by the Naccowlah Block producers in the year for transporting their production by the Moonie pipeline. ˙ Expiry 4. This notice expires on the day after it commences. 1 Section 4H was repealed on 1 July 1995. However, under transitional provisions inserted in the Petroleum Act 1923 when the section was repealed, section 4H continued to have effect for making adjustments to pipeline charges for the year starting 1 August 1993 and ending 31 July 1994.
