An Act to authorise the municipal councils of George v,

J^etersliani and Bankstown to close certain roads ; to provide for the disposal of the land in such roads ; and for purposes consequent thereon or incidental thereto. [Assented to, 5th Septem ber, 1916.]

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Petersham and

the purchase of other land to be used for the extension, widening, straightening, deviation, or other improvement of Liberty-street, in the said Municipality, and to apply any balance of such proceeds for the purposes of the general fund, or to exchange such land for other land to be used for the above purposes: And the said council is hereby authorised to agree Avith the OAvner of any such other land so purcliased or taken in exchange as aforesaid to remove and re-erect on the land, formerly known as Ilorbury-terrace, the stable-huildings and fencing now standing on such other land, or on land adjoining thereto; to remove the kerbing and guttering of the land formerly knoAvn as Horhury-terrace, and level such land; and to connect the drainage from the said owner’s building situated on any land aforesaid Avith the Avater channel in tlie extension of Liberty-street aforesaid.
