Pesticides Act 1999 No 80— New South Wales
Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Pesticides Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation:

(a)

appoint 1 January 2000 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(i) Parts 1, 4 and 8,

(ii)

sections 40, 44, 71–73, 102, 105, 106 (1) and (2) (e), 109–113, 116, 119, 120, 122 and 123,

(iii) Schedule 1,
(iv) clause 1 of Schedule 2,
(v) Schedules 3.4 [3] and [4], 3.5 [1] and 3.6 [2]–[11],

(b)

appoint 1 July 2000 as the day on which the remainder of the Pesticides Act 1999 commences.

Pesticides Act 1999 No 80—Proclamation
Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to provide for the commencement of the Pesticides Act 1999 in 2 stages. The proclamation commences provisions relating to the Pesticides Implementation Committee and pesticide control orders on 1 January 2000, and the remainder of the Act (including the repeal of the Pesticides Act 1978) on 1 July 2000.
