AN ACT to amend the Perth Medical Centre Act,

1966-1976.

[Assented to 30th September, 1977.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Perth Medi- cal Centre Act Amendment Act, 1977.	Short title
and citation.

(2) In this Act the Perth Medical Centre Act,

1966-1976 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3)

The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre

Act, 1966-1977.

ment. 2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into

operation on the 28th March, 1977.

Section 3

amended. 3. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by inserting after the section designation "3." the subsection designation "(1)";
(b)	by deleting line three of the interpretation "the reserve" and inserting in lieu thereof the passage "as The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Reserve;" ;
(c)	by deleting the words "the Perth Medical Centre Trust", in the interpretation "the Trust", and inserting in lieu thereof the passage "The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Trust"; and
(d)	by inserting new subsections as follows

(2) A reference to the Perth Medical Centre reserve, whether by use of that name or a similar or abbreviated form of that name, in any Act, regulation, rule, by-law, proclamation, order in council, instrument, contract, or document shall, unless the context is such that it would be incorrect or inappropriate to do so, be read and construed as a reference to The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Re- serve.

(3) A reference to the Perth Medical Centre Trust, whether by use of that name or a similar or abbreviated form of that name, in any Act, regulation, rule, by-law, proclamation, order in council, instrument, contract, or document shall, unless the context is such that it would be incorrect or inappropriate to do so, be read and construed as a reference to The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Trust. .

Section 6

Subsection (1) of section 6 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the last two lines in the sub- section and inserting in lieu thereof the passage "as of Class "A" and shall be known as The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Reserve." . amended.

Subsection (2) of section 7 of the principal Act is repealed and re-enacted as follows = Jae

(2) The body corporate hitherto constituted under this Act by the name "Perth Medical Centre Trust" is preserved and continues in existence as a body corporate under and subject to the provisions of this Act by the name "The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Trust", but so that the corporate identity of the body corporate and its rights and obligations are not affected. .

Section 20

Subsection (3) of section 20 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word "regulations", in lines two and three, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "by-laws". amended.
