PRIVATE ACT.

AN ACT to further amend the Perth Gas Company's Act, 1886, and for other pur- poses.

[Assented to, gth November, ig97 .]

TAT HEREAS by the Perth Gas Company's Act 1886 Preamble.

(hereinafter called the Principal Act) the Company is empowered from time to time to increase its capital so nevertheless that the whole capital of the Company shall not exceed £60,000:

AND WHEREAS the Company desires power to increase its capital

to £300,000:

AND WHEREAS the Company is also desirous of obtaining statutory authority to sell its undertaking and all other its property and assets and also desires that the purchasers or purchaser of its

undertaking shall have and take all the rights privileges advantages and endowments conferred upon the Company by the Principal Act and the Perth Gas Company's Act 1886 Amendment Act 1892 with full power for the purchasers or purchaser from time to time to change their his or its name without forfeiting any of such rights privileges advantages or endowments: Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia in this present Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :--

THE expression " The Company " in the Principal Act and the Perth Gas Company's Act 1886 Amendment Act 1892 is hereby extended to mean and include The Perth Gas Company Limited and its assigns and any Company (whether duly incorporated or not) or person in whom the undertaking or the estate or interest of the Perth Gas Company Limited therein shall for the time being be vested.
