This notice may be cited as the Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment Exemption Notice 1992 . Exemption from regulation 2. An exemption is granted under s.134 of the Workplace Health andSafety Act1989 to the class of persons and on the conditions described in the Schedule from the operation of Part VII of the Workplace Health andSafety Regulation 1989 . SCHEDULE Employers who have effected a health and safety management policy which contains— (a) procedures for undertaking risk assessment to determine hazards
2 Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment Exemption Notice 1992 and risks present at a workplace; and (b) procedures for reducing the risks of personal injury through the selection, provision and use of personal protective equipment which meet the requirements of the code of practice entitled “Selection, Provision and Use of Personal Protective Equipment” published in the Industrial Gazette on 26 October 1991; and (c) Training programs concerning the use of personal protective equipment.
