Personal Property Securities (Commonwealth Powers)
Amendment Act 2009 No 103

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Personal Property Securities (Commonwealth Powers) Amendment Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 30 January 2012 as the day on which sections 3 and 4 of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions that repeal the Registration of Interests in Goods Act 1986 (and the regulations under that Act) and the Security Interests in Goods Act 2005 consequent on the provisions of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 of the Commonwealth coming into operation.
