AN ACT to enable defined portions of certain Public Reserves to be excised ; to authorise such portions to be reserved for other purposes ; and to amend section four of the Permanent Reserves Act, 1921.

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

Short titte.

1. This Act may be cited as the Permanent Reserves Act,

1924.

Reserve A SOS 2. Narrogin Lot 343 is excised from Reserve t A11306

(Park Lands, Narrogin), and such lot may be reserved for a

Presbyterian Church site in lieu of Narrogin Lot 80.

Reserve A A11377. 3. Broome Lot 585 is excised from Reserve '' A11377

(Educational Endowment), subject to a lot in the same town- site, containing the same area (16 acres), being granted to the Trustees of the Public Education Endowment in lieu thereof.

Reserve ,t 111667.

4. The area described in the First Schedule is excised from Reserve t A1667 (Old Men's Home, Claremont), and shall be added to Reserve t A17391 for Recreation, South Nedlands.

5.    The area described in the Second Schedule is excised

from Reserve A A17375, Swan (Crawley) Recreation, and

may be granted to the University of Western Australia.

Section four of the Permanent Reserves Act, 1921, is amended by deleting the words "public refreshment rooms,"

and inserting in place thereof the words "a hostel."

7.    Reserve A A5183 (Subiaco), so far as the same is Reserve A A5182.

reserved for public buildings, may be dedicated to the

purposes of recreation.

That part of Swan Location 2915 bounded by lines starting at the South corner of said location and extending 70° 33', 2 chains 68 links ; thence 63° 3', 1 chain 4 . 4 links ; thence 48° 3', 1 chain 4 . 4 links ; thence 33° 3', 1 chain 4 . 4 links ; thence 18° 3', 1 chain 4 . 4 links ; thence 3° 3', 1 chain 4 . 4 links ; thence 348° 5', 1 chain 3 . 9 links to the Southern side of Birdwood Parade ; thence 251° 6', 45 . 7 links, and 254° 40', 1 chain 39 . 2 links, along said side of said Parade ; thence 214° 6', 5 chains 69 . 8 links, and thence 180° 2', 75 . 7 links, to the starting point. SECOND SCHEDULE.

That portion of Class " A" Reserve A 17375 bounded by lines starting at the North sec. 5.

corner of Swan Location 2885 and extending 75° 18', 33 . 3 links, to a point on a circular curve whose centre is situate 309° 57', 2 chains 11 . 3 links, from said point; thence South- Westerly along said curve 16 . 8 links to another point on another circular curve whose centre is situate 215° 39', 25 . 1 links, from said point, and thence North-Westerly along said curve, 22 . 1 links, to the starting point.
