PERMANENT BUILDING SOCIETIES ACT 1967 - REGULATION
(Relating to the removal of age restrictions

for eligible valuers)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Permanent Building Societies Act 1967, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Permanent Building Societies Regulations 1967 are amended:

(a)

by omitting from Regulation 44 (3) the words "is less than 72 years of age and";

(b) by inserting at the end of Regulation 56 (b) (i) the word "and";

(c) by omitting Regulation 56 (b) (ii).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Permanent Building Societies

Regulations 1967 to remove the restriction that prevents a registered real estate valuer who is of or above the age of 72 years from being a qualified person or a prescribed person for certain valuations made for the purposes of the Permanent
Building Societies Act 1967.
