Application for approval of the Perkins Shipping Terminals Agreement 2010.

[1] An application has been made for approval of an enterprise agreement known as the Perkins Shipping Terminals Agreement 2010 (the Agreement). The application was made pursuant to s.185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act) by Perkins Shipping Pty Ltd (the Company). The agreement is a single-enterprise agreement.

[2] The copy of the Agreement accompanied by the application was signed by the employer but not any representative of the employees, as required by the Regulations (2.06A). The matter was then listed for hearing by telephone link on 5 May 2011.

[3] On 4 May 2011 an email was received from Ms K Chambers, the Company’s HR Manager, advising the Company’s intention to withdraw the application. In the circumstances, I consider the application has been withdrawn and the proceedings are now concluded.
