Penrith Local Environmental Plan No 253

1     Name of plan

This plan is Penrith Local Environmental Plan No 253.

2     Aims of plan

The aims of this plan are to:

(a)	remove the concurrence and approval roles of the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning as it relates to the development of land within Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith, and
(b)	prohibit development for the purpose of hotels on land zoned General Business (Group Neighbourhood Centre) under Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith, and
(c)	repeal clauses within Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith already subsumed by other environmental planning instruments.

3     Land to which plan applies

This plan applies to land within the City of Penrith affected by the provisions of Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith.

4     Amendment of Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith

Interim Development Order No 28—City of Penrith is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Omit the definition of Commission.

Insert “and” after “Council;” in clause 4 (b).

Omit the paragraphs. Insert instead:
