AN ACT to amend the Pearling Aet, 19124924.

[Assented to 30th October, 1929.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Pearling Act Amendment

Act, 1929, and shall be read as one with the Pearling Act,

1912-1924, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment of

e. 63.

2.

Section sixty-three of the principal Act is amended by

adding thereto a proviso, as follows:

Provided that this section shall not apply to the purchase or receipt for sale by a licensed pearl dealer of pearls not the product of the State, if such dealing is transacted in the office of an inspector, and it is proved to the satisfaction of the inspector that the pearls were not the product of the State.

Amendment of

3.

The Third Schedule to the principal Act is amended by

1 bird Schedule.

adding thereto a proviso, as follows:

Provided that the fee for a ship license for a hand- pump ship (that is to say, a ship from which diving operations are conducted with diving appliances to which the air supply is produced by hand power and not by motor power) may be fixed from time to time by the Minister at such lesser fee than £10 as he may think fit.

The principal Act, as amended, may be cited as the

Pearling Act, 1912-1929.
