PEACE OFFICERS’ GUARD REGULATIONS.(a)

Statutory Rules 1944, No. 12.(b)

Definitions.

1. Regulation 3 of the Peace Officers’ Guard Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting after the definition of “Superintending Peace Officer” the following definition:—

“ ‘Assistant Superintending Peace Officer’ means the Peace Officer appointed under the Act as Assistant Superintending Peace Officer;”; and

(b)by inserting in the definition of “Peace Officer”, after the words “Superintending Peace Officer”, the words “, Assistant Superintending Peace Officer “.

2. After regulation 5 of the Peace Officers’ Guard Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:—

Appointment of Assistant Superintending Peace Officer.

“5a. The Assistant Superintending Peace Officer shall, subject to any direction of the Superintending Peace Officer, have and may exercise all the powers and functions of the Superintending Peace Officer under these Regulations.”.
